The ASEAN Regulatory Co-operation Platform (ARCP) continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering regional dialogue and strengthening capacity in chemical management through its regular mini-webinars. These sessions bring together regulators and industry stakeholders from ASEAN Member States (AMS), along with both regional and international subject matter experts (SMEs), to share knowledge and experience, exchange insights, discuss regulatory developments and promote alignment in chemical management practices.

The third mini webinar for 2025 was held on 21 Nov 2025, attracting 70 participations from across the AMS. The following regulatory topics impacting the chemical industry were shared:
- Ms Rebecca O’Donnell, Associate Director, International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), provided an update on the ongoing work of various informal working groups under the UNSCEGHS, including the Potential Hazard Issues Informal Working Group (PHI-IWG) and the Germ Cell Mutagenicity IWG.
- Mr Roman Luth, Executive Director, ChemPro Consulting International Pte Ltd, shared an overview of international regulations governing the transport of dangerous goods by ocean and air, along with recent developments in road transport. His presentation addressed challenges in cross-border trucking, updates on new UN numbers and emphasized the need for mandatory training requirements for dangerous goods handling.
The ARCP organising committee extends its appreciation to all speakers and participants for their contributions. These exchanges are key enablers in building a cohesive and informed regional approach to chemical safety and regulatory convergence.
Launched in 2021, the ARCP mini-webinars have garnered significant positive feedback from participating delegates. With the continued support and collaboration of industry stakeholders and regulators in the AMS, the ARCP will remain a key driver in the chemical industry's pursuit of achieving regulatory cooperation and convergence in the ASEAN region.
