Held on 30 October 2025 at the Raffles City Convention Centre, the SCIC–Joint Agencies Dialogue 2025 brought together SCIC members and key government agencies which continues to serve as a platform of engagement for fostering regulatory understanding and partnership between industry and authorities.
In his opening remarks, SCIC Executive Director Mr Terence Koh emphasized the importance of proactive engagement and shared responsibility in shaping regulatory frameworks that are both effective and practical. He highlighted SCIC’s commitment to advancing safety, sustainability and innovation in tandem with business continuity and growth.
This year’s session featured updates from six agencies including the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Public Utilities Board (PUB). Topics ranged from hydrogen safety guidelines and pressure vessel schemes to PFAS phase-out strategies, energy efficiency standards, fire statistics, explosive precursors regulation and trade effluent management.
The open discussion segment provided a valuable opportunity for participants to raise questions, share perspectives and explore collaborative solutions to emerging challenges.
