To support the industry in the implementation of the new SS 667 on Code of practice for handling, storage and processing of combustible dust which was launched in May 2021, a workshop on SS 667, attended by more than 100 participants from 50 organisations, was subsequently held on 25 Aug 2021.

In addition to providing an overview of the SS 667, a summary of key requirements in preventing and mitigating fires as well as dust explosions in facilities handling such materials were also articulated.

Based on the feedback obtained during the launch of the standard, the workshop was curated to focus on providing a deeper understanding of DHA with examples presented to allow the industry to better understand and identify the possible scenario, causes, potential consequences and safeguards that can be put in place to ensure the safety of the workplace.
