On 29 August 2024, the Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC) hosted its annual Sustainability Conference, themed “Reimagining Manufacturing for a Sustainable Future.” This event brought together leaders from the industry, policymakers, and sustainability experts to discuss transformative strategies for integrating sustainability into manufacturing.
The conference highlighted the pressing need for innovation and collaboration in the sector, focusing on integrating sustainability into key practices. Major topics included advanced technologies reshaping the industry, such as carbon capture solutions, energy-efficient processes, and alternative eco-friendly materials.
