The Singapore Police Force (SPF) joined the annual SCIC-Joint agencies dialogue session together with MOM, NEA and SCDF on 1 November at the Shangri-La Hotel.
This is one of the events that SCIC organises for its members to stay informed on the key updates in the regulatory developments for the chemical industry. The topics of sharing covered included:
- Overview of key findings from Safety Case assessment by MHD, MOM
- Update on NEA’s packaging initiatives on Sustainable Management of Packaging Waste
- Sharing on Good Industry Practices for Hazardous Waste Management by NEA
- SCDF’s report on the Fire Incident Statistics and Case Studies sharing
- Regulatory development on Explosive Precursors by SPF
- Extension of demerit point to manufacturing sector by MOM
The panel discussion ensued after the presentations has provided an opportunity for members and the senior officials of agencies in exchanging ideas, insights, comments and feedback.
