The annual dialogue session with the key regulators of MOM, NEA and SCDF took place on 23 Nov 2021 on the virtual platform for members of SCIC.
This is one of the events that SCIC organises for its members to stay informed on the key updates in the regulatory developments for the chemical industry. The topics of sharing covered included:
- Updates on Safety Case for Major Hazard Installations (MHIs) by MHD, MOM
- NEA’s Updates on the Mandatory Packaging Reporting (MPR) Requirements as well as Aerosol-Generating Systems (AGS) licensing requirements
- SCDF’s report on the Fire Incident Statistics and Case Studies as well as how some regulatory requirements and processes are managed during the COVID-19 pandemic
The panel discussion ensued after the presentations had provided an opportunity for members and the senior officials of agencies in exchanging ideas, insights, comments and feedback.
