Organised for SCIC members, the annual dialogue session with the key regulators of MOM, NEA and SCDF took place virtually on 3 Dec 2020.
This is one of several SCIC events organised to keep members updated on key updates in the regulatory developments for the chemical industry. The sharing topics included:
- Updates on the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Safe Management Measures (SMM) by MOM
- NEA’s sharing on the new potential chemicals identified for control under Multilateral Environmental Agreements as well as the developmental updates on Packaging Waste Management.
- SCDF’s report on the Fire Statistics and Case Studies sharing and learnings
The ensuring panel discussion provided an opportunity for an exchange of of ideas, insights, and feedback between member companies and the senior officials from the agencies.
