ITE and SCIC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 31st May 2022 at ITE College East. The MOU represents the start of a partnership to collaborate in the training, assessment and certification of workers in 13 skillsets for the Process & Construction Maintenance industry, marking a significant milestone in the industry transformation journey. The training framework aims to encourage continuous training and the retainment of highly skilled workers for improved workforce productivity. This is a necessary shift for the industry to reduce overall reliance on low skilled workers and to maintain its global competitiveness. Operationalizing the framework would not be an easy feat but SCIC looks forward to a positive collaboration with ITE to realize the training framework.
