On 27 July 2023, SCIC and Air Liquide Singapore were invited to the career talk at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Ms Toh Xin Ni, Facility Manager, and Ms Rafiqah Hamid, Senior Process Safety Engineer, shared their growth stories and personal experience working with Air Liquide Singapore.
Annually, Ngee Ann Polytechnic organises career talks that invite industry experts to enlighten students about career opportunities in the chemical industry. This career talk serves as a platform to equip Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) students with insights that would help them navigate their career paths effectively.
A total of 150 CBE students (Year 1 to 3) participated actively in the career talk. The students actively engaged in the Q&A session, seeking advice and guidance from the speakers on the career prospects and the skills necessary to thrive in the competitive engineering landscape. The speakers eloquently responded to each query, providing the students with invaluable advice to help them forge their own future career paths.
SCIC would like to encourage fellow member companies to participate and share at subsequent outreach sessions. Companies who are interested may contact the SCIC at
