The Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) Programme is a global initiative launched by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) twenty-eight years ago. With the objective of enhancing educational efforts towards reducing plastic pellet loss through proper containment, reclamation and disposal, leakage issues can be managed through synergistic partnerships and efforts throughout the industry value chain.
Since SCIC undertook the administrator role for OCS programme for Singapore in April 2019, sharing sessions have been organised to enhance greater awareness among the stakeholders in the plastic value chain about the commitment of the OCS Programme. One such OCS Sharing Session was held on 25 Sept 2020, reaching out our value chain partners in storage and transportation, to share and exchange some good practices on housekeeping operations to help achieve zero pellet loss into the environment.
