The SCIC MHI Practitioners' Forum was first initiated in 2019 with the objective of serving as an industry platform provision for MHIs to come together to learn from one another.
The sharing of non-confidential knowledge and good practices as well as exchange of experience and information among the MHI community is strongly encouraged as we believe this would be invaluable and benefical in supporting members' progress in the implementation of Safety Case.
Led by the SCIC MHI Committee, the second session held on 25 Nov 2020 focused on ALARP Demonstration in Safety Case, which included the following discussion topics:
- What is ALARP Demonstration?
- Importance of ALARP Demonstration
- Various methods of ALARP Demonstration
- Practical examples of ALARP Demonstration for high consequence scenarios in Chemical Industry
- Practical example of ALARP Demonstration for Tank Overfill scenario
As the first session to be organised virtually, there was a good turnout of about 70 participants who are also their companies' Safety Case Leads. With the positive feedback received from the participants, SCIC will continue its efforts in organising similar forums with different focus topics for the MHI community.
SCIC would like to thank the MHI committee in leading and facilitating the Safety Case knowledge sharing in the forum.
