As part of industry capability building, the SCIC’s Process and Engineering (P&E) Committee organised the half-day Learning & Sharing session - Life Cycle of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) on 20 August 2021. The session was well attended by 40 participants from different companies.
In this session, the participants were provided with good practices at each stage of the SIS life cycle from design, operation, inspection, to maintenance. Safety Instrumented Systems (SISs) are critical to the process industries to implement safety functions, such as the process safety interlocks and emergency shutdowns, to achieve or maintain a process in a safe state for a specific hazardous event.
On behalf of the SCIC, we would like to thank all the speakers for their effort and for bringing the session to success.
