The Chemical Standards Committee (CSC) Strategic Planning Session is organised once every 3-year Term to align CSC’s next tranche standards workplan (FY 2020 to FY 2022) with the industry needs and government initiatives. All Technical Committee and Working Group members under the purview of CSC were invited to join the brainstorming session to assess future standardisation needs to help support the growth, productivity and sustainability of the chemical and related industries.
The establishment of standards is fundamental to support the chemical and related industries by providing stakeholders with the best practices to ensure safety processes and quality products. The harmonisation of standards will also be valuable in facilitating trade at both the international and regional level.
