SCIC extends its appreciation to Mr Low Wai Hoe for all his support and contribution to SCIC during his tenure as the Chairman of SCIC Major Hazards Installation (MHI) Committee from 2015 to 2018 and Chairman of SCIC RA Committee from 2018 to 2020.

Wai Hoe’s passionate dedication and commitment to SCIC were evident from his active involvements to help drive various industry efforts and initiatives undertaken.

He was a key team member in participating and supporting the successful implementation process of the Safety Case regime in Singapore. When he moved to take on the role as the Chairman for SCIC RA Committee, he continued to lead the team in addressing industry advocacy issues with various regulatory agencies to achieve conducive outcomes.

His support through SCIC to help build a better chemical industry in Singapore has been most invaluable. SCIC wishes the best for him after his retirement from ExxonMobil Chemical Asia Pacific.

SCIC will remain an important pillar of the chemical industry as the sector continues its growth as a key contributor to Singapore’s economy. We are privileged to have the continued extension of support from member company – Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited who has supported their employee, Mr Bernard Leong to step up and undertake the leadership role in the SCIC RA Committee in continuing the good efforts to drive the advocacy initiatives for the chemical industry.
