The board and secretariat office of SCIC would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr Akira Yonemura of Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited (PCS) for his contributions to SCIC.
During his tenure as a Board Member and sponsor for the SCIC Regulatory Affairs Committee over the last 10 years, his involvement in driving various industry advocacy issues have been exemplary to the overall development of SCIC and the Singapore chemical industry. These were evident in his active involvement in dialogues and discussions with the various statutory agencies as well as his provision of assistance and guidance to the SCIC Regulatory Affairs Committee and secretariat office.
As PCS’s Managing Director, Mr Yonemura contributed extensive resources to support SCIC initiatives and programmes through the active involvement and participation in various SCIC committees and workgroups, including the substantial sharing of knowledge in health, safety, environment and security practices with fellow industry peers in numerous training courses and sharing forums organised.
SCIC extends its best wishes to Mr Yonemura in his next assignment in Japan.
