The Learning and Sharing Forum took place on 16 August 2024, focusing on the critical topic of ‘Isolation of Energy’. Held in person at the SCIC office, the forum attracted approximately 20 participants eager to learn and implement lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) procedures in their workplaces.
Hosting the forum physically at SCIC enabled more interactive group discussions and deeper engagement among attendees. The session covered an introduction to various LOTO standards, lessons learned from past incidents, and included a breakout group activity. During the session, participants had the opportunity to apply LOTO techniques to real-world scenarios, enhancing their understanding of when and where LOTO is necessary.
