SCIC Responsible Care Sharing Workshop - Security Code

Background

Since the incorporation of the 7th code on Security into Singapore’s Responsible Care programme in 2017, a set of self-evaluation guidelines on security practices has been developed and a pilot submission was subsequently conducted by the SCIC Responsible Care Committee in 2018 and 2019. These fit-for-purpose guidelines aim to encourage companies to achieve continuous improvements in security performances through a risk-based approach.

With the inclusion of the Security code to the annual Responsible Care submission by signatory companies, we will be organising a session of the Responsible Care Sharing Workshop on security practices to help signatory companies in their implementation efforts for the Security code.

We have successfully conducted this workshop in 2019 and 2021, receiving positive feedback and engagement. This year, we will conduct this workshop once more, especially with inclusion of new signatory companies and employees on board.

Workshop objectives

This one-day sharing workshop aims to equip participants the knowledge on the approach of Security Risk Assessment (SRA) in helping to evaluate the security associated risks. This is part of the security risk management to determine the appropriate measures in addressing the threats, vulnerabilities and potential consequences.
