Launch of SS 698:2023 Code of practice for the production and application of biochar
SS 698:2023 Code of practice for the production and application of biochar is a new Singapore Standard which provides guidelines for the production and subsequent application of biochar in:
- agriculture
- horticulture
- anaerobic digestion
- construction materials
- activated carbon.
It also provides guidance on the sampling and test methods, storage, distribution and marketing of biochar to ensure the quality requirements of locally-produced biochar are met.
Highlights of the new standard will be presented in the seminar by the experts of the WG who were involved in the standard’s development.
