This webinar aims to create awareness and drive adoption of revised TR 56 : 2020 Technical Reference for LNG Bunkering.

The TR 56 was first launched in 2017 as the world’s first national standard to prepare Singapore’s bunkering industry to be ready for MARPOL Annex VI Global Sulphur limit of 0.5% that has been introduced on 1 Jan 2020.

TR 56 covers LNG delivery from LNG bunkering facilities to receiving ships through four modes of transfer (truck-to-ship, shore-to-ship, ship-to-ship and cassette bunkering). In this revision, there is a greater focus on the truck-to-ship and ship-to-ship modes as they are expected to be the predominant transfer modes in the next few years.  The local experience gained in truck-to-ship was used to update the TR, new quantity and quality measurement methods for ship-to-ship were included and simultaneous operations requirements were also enhanced.
