Bunkering Standards Exchange – Launch of SS 648 : 2019 Code of Practice for Bunker Mass Flow Metering

Background

The Bunkering Standards Exchange launches the new SS 648 : 2019 Code of practice for bunker mass flow metering which is now a full Singapore Standard based on Technical Reference TR 48 : 2015, implemented on 1 Jun 2016 by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

The new SS 648 includes the expansion of scope of the standard to cover distillate fuels and bunkers that meet IMO regulations. The updated content included the new requirements for multi meter installation, the enhancement of zero verification procedure and better clarity on the role of bunker surveyors in MFM bunkering regime.

Other bunkering related standards will also be showcased at this seminar.
