In April 2019, Singapore through SCIC joined the world to support the Operations Clean Sweep® Programme (OCS).
A product stewardship programme of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), the goal of OCS is to help every plastic resin handling operation implement good housekeeping and pellet, flake and powder containment practices to work towards achieving zero pellet, flake and powder loss.
As the OCS programme administrator, we demonstrate our commitment to Zero Pellet Loss through partnership with all OCS partners.
“Pellet loss is a form of plastic waste that may have an impact to the environment. At SCIC, our aim is to encourage member companies producing plastic resins to come on board and embrace the OCS programme. We believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that no pellet, flake or powder is leaked out into the environment”, Mr Terence Koh, SCIC Executive Director.
