Chemical Standards Exchange – “Enhancing safety and health in the industry”
The Chemicals Standards Exchange is an annual flagship seminar organised by the Chemical Standards Committee to highlight the importance of Singapore Standards in promoting health, safety, environment, productivity and sustainability in the chemical industry. Gain insights to new, upcoming and exploratory standards that are in the pipeline of our two Technical Committees (TCs), Petroleum Processes and Products as well as Chemicals and Processes.
As the theme for 2021 focuses on health and safety, this webinar will also include the launch of the revised Singapore Standard (SS 512) on Code of practice for the design, construction and operation of pipeline service corridors. Highlights of this SS 512 : 2021 will be presented by the Working Group experts who supported its development.
Note: SCDF adopts SS 512 : 2021 as part of fire safety requirements during consultation stage and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) approval for the conveyance of flammable materials to ensure that concerns are being addressed during the early design phase of pipeline service corridors.
