

3 Dec 2021 - Online standards awareness and adoption workshop: International and national efforts relating to Nanotechnology – Why do they matter?
This standards awareness workshop will feature a couple of ISO/TC229 Nanotechnologies standards that may be relevant and useful to the Singapore industry. The workshop will also provide additional guidance to increase the capabilities of the industry in monitoring exposures relating to engineered nanomaterials while promoting the adoption of national standards relating to nanotechnology, such as TR 73 Handling of engineered nanomaterials in workplaces.
Having showcased the scope, objectives and overview of contents of these relevant ISO documents, polls would be carried out during the online workshop to seek the perspective of the workshop attendees in determining if it would be crucial for Singapore’s adoption.
Invited speakers will also share their experiences on the usefulness of standards which have aided in their businesses in gaining commercial advantage and the importance of measurement standards in commercial applications.
