Launch of new Specification for different grades of industrial recycled water from refineries, petrochemical, chemical and utility plants & Chemical Standards Exchange – “Sustainability & Chemical Standards”

This standards launch event showcases the New Specification for different grades of industrial recycled water from refineries, petrochemical, chemical and utility plants, the first such standard in the world, that is developed primarily for use by the industries on Jurong Island.  This new standard was established by a multi-stakeholder Working Group on Industrial Water Reuse under the purview of the Technical Committee for Water. This standard is intended to support the PUB’s initiative to close the water loop on Jurong Island which fits in the Jurong Island Version 2.0 initiative where a series of infrastructure developments are put in place to strengthen Singapore’s chemical ecosystem.  

The Standards Launch Event will be followed by the Chemical Standards Exchange - " Sustainability and Chemical Standards"  which will also showcase standards work supporting new growth areas and sustainability plans.
